Okeanos Charters offers custom adventures in the incredible Turks and Caicos cays.
Visitors can’t get a true Turks and Caicos experience without spending time on the crystal blue waters for which our islands are known. Whether it’s for a leisurely cruise, a day of snorkeling, or a trip to Little Water Cay to get acquainted with the endemic Turks and Caicos rock iguanas, travelers will find a boat charter that works best for them with Okeanos Charters.
The small boat charter company is owned by Captain Josh, a local Turks Islander who spent his childhood exploring the islands and reefs of the Turks and Caicos. His passion for the ocean and marine life inspired him to start Okeanos Charter as a way to share his passion with others.
Tours and Charters
Okeanos offers a variety of charters for those who want to explore the Turks and Caicos by boat, starting with the two-hour snorkel tour. This option can accommodate up to eight people aboard the company’s Axopar 28 and allows guests the opportunity to snorkel up to two different reefs with a snorkel guide.
For an additional hour, in addition to snorkeling the barrier reef, guests can spend some time on uninhabited Little Water Cay (Iguana Island), where the Turks and Caicos rock iguanas reside. Here, guests can also look for seashells and sand dollars. And the more time you spend on the water, the higher your chances are of catching a glimpse of the islands’ resident dolphin, JoJo, and his expanding family that includes a juvenile dolphin dubbed Dreamer by local residents. But while JoJo, Dreamer, and other dolphins can be rather friendly with people on the water, make sure any interactions with them are on their terms. It’s important not to touch, chase, or otherwise harass dolphins and other wildlife.

For those who want a longer, more exclusive experience, Okeanos also offers charters aboard their luxury boats: M/V Ikiga and M/V Elsie, which are both 37-foot 2019 Axopar Brabus boats, and M/V Impulse III, a 28-foot 2020 Axopar, which is essentially a smaller version of the Axopar Brabus. All three luxury boats offer comfortable and spacious seating, and they all come equipped with sinks, a fresh water shower, marine head, cabin, and refrigerators.
If you do opt for one of the luxury charters, you have three charter options to choose from, starting with a four-hour luxury charter that allows you extra time to snorkel, swim, island hop, and explore the Caicos cays.
Full Day Charters
For visitors interested in spending a full day out on the water, Okeanos also offers an eight-hour luxury charter. This full-day option gives guests an opportunity to venture farther to unspoiled islands such as Little Ambergris Cay, French Cay, and Joe Grant Cay. And how guests spend their eight-hour charter is completely up to them. A full day gives them the freedom to choose their destination as well as activities, whether it’s cliff jumping at West Caicos, paddleboarding on a calm day, or tubing for the adrenaline seekers.
Okeanos Charters operates Axopar day yachts, which are fun, fast, and stable.
To accommodate larger groups, Okeanos offers a tandem charter, with both boats following each other closely before reaching their final destination, where the full group can be together. Another perk to booking a tandem charter—if everyone in the group can’t agree on one activity, it’s no problem. Some guests can spend a few hours wakeboarding, while the others can take their time strolling the shore in search of seashells.
Whatever your preference, Okeanos can customize each charter to their guest’s preference. So whether you want an adventure-packed day on the water, or a leisurely cruise along the Caicos cays, Okeanos and Captain Josh can accommodate.
