Sights and Destinations

As Amazing Tours operates from Turtle Cove Marina, most charters (possibly excepting those where alternative pick-up locations are preferred by guests) begin with the scenic route that leads from the marina and past Turtle Cove and Grace Bay, which offers an excellent view of the turquoise waters and resorts of the famous beach. Charters often then head towards snorkeling sites at Leeward Reef or other sites on the Caicos Barrier Reef, and then to the spectacular Caicos Cays, including Half Moon Bay, Water Cay, Pine Cay, and Fort George Cay.

Snorkeling

The Turks and Caicos is home to vibrant coral reefs and has countless incredible snorkeling sites. Tours typically visit the barrier reef, where interesting corals, bright yellow and purple sea fans, coral arches and gullies, and fascinating sea creatures can be seen.

It’s common to spot schools of fish that include jacks, black durgon, yellowtail snapper, and blue tangs. Closer to the reef are trumpetfish, parrotfish, angelfish, porcupinefish, squirrelfish, hamlets, damselfish, and much more. Larger animals may include hawksbill turtles, nurse sharks, southern stingrays, and eagle rays.

Snorkeling equipment is provided for guest use on charters.

Half Moon Bay

The popular Half Moon Bay is a beach and lagoon, located between the islands of Little Water Cay and Water Cay. The wide white sand beach is breathtaking, and the shallow lagoon, which has clear turquoise water, is likewise a spectacular sight. The friendly and curious Turks and Caicos Islands Rock Iguana is also a common sight in the dunes at Half Moon Bay.

Water Cay

The uninhabited Water Cay is best known for its incredible beach, which stretches the entirety of its northern coast. This white sand beach is framed by low sandy cliffs, and there are several fun snorkeling spots along the beach, including the broken remains of a small ship.

Pine Cay and Sand Dollar Cove

Pine Cay is directly adjacent to the east of Water Cay, and is connected by beach. Like Water Cay, Pine Cay offers an amazing white sand beach, and on the eastern side of the beach is Sand Dollar Cove, and the beautiful sandbars and shallows that are in the bay between Pine Cay and Fort George Cay.

Fort George Cay

Fort George Cay was once the site of a small coastal fort and artillery battery in the late 1700s. The fort itself was washed away over the centuries, yet cannons can still be seen in the shallow water fronting the cay. Off the western side of the cay is the primary attraction: a beautiful beach and sandbar system.

Beverages and Dining

Charters with Amazing Tours include an excellent complement of drinks and food. All tours are served a wide range of drinks that include a selection of sodas, water, rum punch, beer, wine, champagne, and other alcohol. Full-day adventures feature a beach BBQ, as well as snacks throughout the day. Half-day trips have snacks and wraps, and sunset and evening cruises are provided with cheese and cracker platters, and platters of local seafood and wings.
