Things to Do on South Caicos

Experience the old Caribbean way of life on the small island of South Caicos. Formerly the main salt exporting island in the Turks and Caicos, today small scale fishing drives the economy.

South Caicos never saw any substantial tourism development, and this still holds true today. There are currently only two hotels on the island, and most of the water sports are focused on bonefishing (primarily in the Bell Sound flats).

The island isn’t without its merits though. Miles of secluded beaches, the abandoned salt salinas and the old settlement of Cockburn Harbour await to be explored.

South Caicos offers something unique; a Caribbean island untouched by tourism.
