View of Rock House in the Turks and Caicos
Rock House in Turks and Caicos.

Perched on a rocky ridge on the north shore of Providenciales near Blue Mountain, Rock House is a residential resort of 46 homes set on 14 acres, and opened in 2022. The project and resort services are managed by Grace Bay Resorts, which also oversees properties such as the Grace Bay Club and Point Grace.

Rock House seeks to capture the sophisticated charm of villas found in the south of France, Capri, and the Mediterranean coast, with a goal of creating “the next generation luxury resort.” The 46 residences sit atop a rugged limestone coastline at an elevation of 50 feet above sea level, offering sweeping views of the famed waters of Grace Bay.

Whether villa owners are away or staying on the property, all upkeep is managed by the resort’s onsite maintenance team, from garbage removal to more miniscule tasks such as watering plants. Any aspect of the villas that require improvement or fixing are also handled by the maintenance team. Meanwhile, there’s a landscaping team to keep the grounds—which feature abundant local vegetation—looking perfect. Likewise, select homes that come with private infinity-edge pools also receive regular maintenance.

Homeowners and guests also benefit from a 24-hour concierge, which can take care of airport transfers, dinner reservations, and more. The concierge can also help coordinate guided excursions and on-site spa treatments.

The main attraction at Rock House is certainly its secluded beach bordered by dramatic cliffs, as well as its 100-foot infinity-edge pool perched at the top of the cliffs. Complemented with poolside daybeds and built-in cabanas, the pool also offers food and beverage service, as well as a signature stone lounge that overlooks the water.

Also located at the top of the hill is an on-site restaurant and bar that overlooks the property. The restaurant offers Mediterranean-inspired meals and features gourmet pastas and tapas-style dishes. In addition to the restaurant, the resort also offers beachside dining, as well as a Cave Bar and Sunset Bar.

Neighboring the hilltop restaurant is a fitness center and arrival pavilions, all of which offer vast views of the ocean and the island of Providenciales. Rock House is also home to a spa, fitness center, tennis courts, and a manmade jogging trail that winds through the local landscape that features centuries-old trees.

Meanwhile, the homes themselves feature 13-foot vaulted ceilings, spacious bedrooms and bathrooms, private pools, and breathtaking elevated views. Designed by local architectural firm Coast Architects and the famed New York-based interior designer Shawn Henderson, Rock House was designed to embrace the essence of Turks and Caicos, drawing inspiration from the island by using historical construction techniques and incorporating the local limestone into the design.

Those interested in buying or staying at Rock House have several homes to choose from. Villa options include: Oceanfront two-bedroom, two-bedroom ridge cottage, ocean view ridge one-bedroom, oceanfront pool studio, oceanfront studio, ocean view ridge studio, and an ocean front one-bedroom.
