Providenciales, Turks and Caicos Islands — The Turks and Caicos Islands has placed third in the U.S. News & World Report’s annual rankings of the Best Places to Visit in the Caribbean in 2026.

The rankings, published Tuesday, name Turks and Caicos as the ultimate destination for exclusive and secluded getaways. Seven Stars Resort & Spa was named the country's best hotel by the media company, while Grace Bay Beach, The Bight Reef (Coral Gardens), and Grand Turk’s Governor's Beach were selected as the best things to do in the archipelago.

The Turks and Caicos has become one of the contest's top performers, having clinched first place in the rankings several times over the past few years. This year, St. Lucia and the British Virgin Islands placed first and second, respectively.

Destinations are hand-picked by the media company’s editorial team based on a range of factors, such as the accessibility of the destination’s beaches, tourist attractions, and comfortable accommodations. Rankings were also informed by user votes and expert insights.

This month, the Turks and Caicos Islands also received two nominations for the USA TODAY 10Best Reader’s Choice Award for Best Caribbean Island to Visit—one for the island of Providenciales, the other for the island of Grand Turk. Rankings for that competition will be announced January 7, 2026.
