More Resorts and Businesses Offering COVID-19 Testing
Update 28 January 2021: Testing is now available onsite at Hartling Group properties (Shore Club, The Palms, and the Sands).
If you will be staying at a hotel or resort, ask if they are offering a COVID-19 test onsite. For visitors staying at villas or other accommodations, several resorts offer testing to the public (
Seven Stars has an online booking form live and other resorts will have theirs live soon).
Update 25 January 2021: Turks and Caicos currently has capacity for 40,000 COVID-19 tests per month, which exceeds current monthly arrivals. More resorts and businesses are offering COVID-19 testing, including Grace Bay Club, Sailrock Resort, Parrot Cay and Beaches Turks and Caicos. All tests are available to non-guests except for Beaches. See below for a complete list.

There are three private labs in the Turks and Caicos offering testing for COVID-19, along with several resorts. All are located in Providenciales. The Government public lab does not offer tests to tourists (unless part of contact tracing, suspected cases, or similar situations).
The announcement of the CDC that all travelers to the United States will require a negative COVID-19 test has prompted the Turks and Caicos Government to establish a task force to address this issue. Steps are urgently being taken to address the insufficient local testing capacity, both at the Government lab and also by private labs. ACCU Diagnostics, which is the only private lab offering polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, has announced that they are increasing capacity from 120 per day to 400.
For persons flying to the United States (including citizens and residents), you must complete an attestation form. A copy will normally be provided by your testing center when you get a local COVID-19 test.
The tests required for return to the US and offered by hotels and resorts are the lateral flow tests (LFD type test). These types of tests return a result in a few minutes.
If you test negative, a certificate will be issued for your departure.
If you test positive, another test will be done. If negative this second time, a certificate will be issued for your departure.
If you test positive for the second test, a PCR test will be arranged and you must self-isolate at your place of residence.
If the PCR test returns positive, you must quarantine at your place of residence for 14 days or until you have authorization from the Ministry of Health to depart.
Local Turks and Caicos COVID-19 Testing Locations
There are several locations in the Turks and Caicos which offer COVID-19 testing, and more are expected to be added shortly. Most locations offer antigen testing that meets the CDC requirements for entry to the United States. ACCU Diagnostics offers the RT-PCR and antigen tests, and can provide results in as little as a few hours.
