If you’re searching for a unique gastronomy experience on Providenciales, look no further than Terra Mar. This chef’s table restaurant offers gourmet dining and immersive five-course dinners in an elegant environment.

Dinners at Terra Mar are largely one-of-a-kind—to keep their offerings fresh and inventive, the restaurant changes its menu every three months. Each dish is dreamed up and carefully crafted by celebrated Chef Luis Duarte-Peñaloza.

Terra Mar provides a truly unique dining experience that is rare to find elsewhere in the Turks and Caicos. Conveniently located in Grace Bay, it is a short walk from several of the area’s beachfront resorts and shopping plazas. Reservations are required, and seating is limited.

Dining Experience

Terra Mar has two seatings per day at 6:00 PM and 8:15 PM that can accommodate a limited number of guests. The five-course dining experience is approximately two hours long, during which time you will watch Chef Luis prepare each dish, hear the story behind it, get to savor each course at your own pace (ideally with one of the recommended wines), and have the chance to interact with your fellow diners in an intimate, peaceful, and upscale setting.

Dinner begins with a welcome glass of champagne. Your host and Sommelier Shawn Larue will then seat you around a sleek U-shaped dining area that surrounds the chef’s table. The ambiance lends itself well to date nights, anniversaries, and special occasions. Terra Mar is also a nice place for a corporate dinner or private event.

The Food

Food is the main event at Terra Mar, where Chef Luis and his team bring guests on an exclusive culinary journey that weaves together local and foreign flavors. The restaurant prides itself on serving high-quality ingredients from the land and surrounding ocean of the Turks and Caicos Islands and beyond. All ingredients are seasonal, ensuring every dish is as fresh as possible.

Terra Mar serves dishes and flavor combinations you are unlikely to have tasted anywhere else, making it an unforgettable restaurant for foodies and gourmands. The presentation of each dish is an art in and of itself, from the delectable glazed Wagyu short rib with its ode to the fan coral to smoked chocolate honeycomb masterpieces.

The menu changes every three months to keep its offerings novel and in-season, but can incorporate seafood as well as Mediterranean and Asian flavors. While all diners are served the same dishes, the culinary team is typically able to accommodate dietary restrictions and allergies with 48 hours notice or greater.
