Grace Bay Medical Center

Grace Bay Medical Center is the largest private medical practice in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It's found in central Grace Bay within walking distance of many of the region’s hotels and restaurants, making it one of the most convenient medical clinics for tourists seeking medical attention.

The clinic is headed by Dr. Sam Slattery, who has been practicing medicine in the Turks and Caicos for 35 years. His staff includes 15 experienced doctors, and their collective expertise covers a wide range of medical specialties. This includes urgent care and a dedicated minor injuries unit—urgent care and emergency care is managed by two emergency room doctors.

Prescriptions can be filled at Grace Bay Pharmacy, also located within the court.

Urgent Care

Grace Bay Medical provides prompt urgent care for non-life-threatening conditions that require timely attention. Appointments are not required (but when possible are recommended) as the clinic accepts walk-ins. The clinic has a 24-hour hotline for emergencies, but typically offers urgent care Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM and on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM in the clinic. In some cases, their emergency doctors can provide care in your villa, hotel room, or elsewhere.

Medical Specialties

The Grace Bay Medical team routinely treats a long list of acute and chronic conditions, as well as infections, minor fractures and breaks, and minor injuries and lacerations for both residents and tourists. Other areas include internal medicine, family medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, dermatology, and pediatrics. There is also a naturopathic doctor, an acupuncturist, and a medical massage therapist.

The medical center can perform X-rays and advanced ultrasound diagnostic services onsite. Their in-house laboratory allows for rapid diagnosis and treatment.

Fast Track and Walk-Ins

Grace Bay Medical Center offers a fast-track and walk-in urgent care service for visitors with no appointment necessary. Resort room or villa visits are also available upon special request.

Medical Equipment Rentals

The clinic rents a range of medical equipment to patients upon request, including wheelchairs, crutches, and oxygen concentrators.

Work Permit and Residency Renewals

Grace Bay Medical Center conducts medical exams for work permit applicants requiring a Migrant Health Evaluation. All testing is done in-house.

Grace Bay Medical Center is located in Grace Bay at Neptune Court, near the Graceway Gourmet supermarket, Ports of Call plaza, and The Hub.

Neptune Court is found in Grace Bay on Providenciales. This small complex is located on Allegro Road within walking distance of many accommodations in Grace Bay. A pharmacy, professional offices, and a large medical center are located here.
