Blue Water Bistro

Wymara Resort, Lower Bight Road, The Bight, Providenciales
Blue Water Bistro, located at the Wymara Resort.

When visiting the Turks and Caicos, beachfront dining is a must at least once. For casual open-air dining with Instagram-worthy views, the Blue Water Bistro at the Wymara Resort on the Bight Beach is the perfect outdoor option that comes with a laid-back and stylish aesthetic.

Open for lunch and dinner daily, Blue Water Bistro’s menus are inspired by the flavors of the Caribbean and offer something for everyone, regardless of dietary wants and needs.

The Inspiration

Spearheaded by Executive Chef Andrew Mirosch, culinary director at the resort, Chef Mirosch utilizes the knowledge gained from his experience in the culinary sector of his homeland of Australia to create a combination of international influence and island vibrance. Whether you’re in the mood for a light lunch, something a bit heavier, a healthy meal, a quick snack, or even a vegan or vegetarian alternative, you’re sure to find a suitable option at Blue Water Bistro. Blue Water Bistro is also a family-friendly restaurant, offering a “Kid’s Corner” menu, carefully crafted with young travelers in mind.

The Menu

From the local conch ceviche to the fresh, locally caught filet of mahi mahi, Blue Water Bistro’s menu offerings provide a true taste of the islands. Diners will also find a number of classic international dishes on offer as well, ranging from Turkish lamb kebab to traditional Jamaican-style pork.

Every Saturday night, Blue Water Bistro also hosts a Texas-style beachfront barbecue complete with live entertainment.

For lunch, you’ll find an array of options that are sure to satisfy after a long morning on the beach. Start with the roasted butternut pumpkin and feta salad, but make sure to save room for your main—such as the Caribbean Cajun spiced, buttermilk panko fried fish tacos. You’ll also find inventive food alternatives for vegetarians, such as the vegetarian panko spiced cauliflower tacos. Other options include salads, burgers (including a vegetarian option), pizzas, and island favorites such as conch fritters and lobster rolls (only available during lobster season).

You’ll also find a variety of options for dinner and late-night snacks, available at the resort’s Pink Bar on the beach. You can keep it simple and light with chips and guacamole, or go all out with the 8-ounce (227 g) char-grilled tenderloin steak. When lobster is in season, you can also choose from a variety of lobster dishes, from the lobster taco to the lobster meat spaghetti.

These include Turks Rum Punch, Old Jamaica, and the Antiguan Smile. You’ll also find a variety of imported beers, the local Turk’s Head beer and both white and red wine served either by bottle or by glass.

A selection of other alcoholic options such as rums, tequila, whiskey, and gin are also available. If you’d prefer to have a non-alcoholic beverage, you can also choose from a variety of soft drinks and delicious mocktails.

Need to satisfy a sweet tooth? Blue Water Bistro’s carefully crafted dessert menu is sure to do the job. Choose from steamed sticky toffee pudding, vanilla creme brulee, or a selection of house-made ice creams and sorbets.
