Grand Turk doesn't have many hotels, and the 43-room Osprey Beach Hotel is one of the largest. The beach fronting the property is excellent, and the onsite Birdcage restaurant is one of the finest dining spots on the island. Overall, this hotel is a great choice.
4-star rating for Osprey Beach Hotel by Visit Turks and Caicos Islands
The pool and ocean view at the Osprey Beach Hotel.

Located on the waterfront Duke Street on the quiet island of Grand Turk, the Osprey Beach Hotel offers affordable accommodation with a world-class view and prime beach access for visitors to the island capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Of the boutique hotel’s 34 rooms, 27 are beachfront. All rooms include air conditioning, a mini fridge, daily maid service, and free Wi-Fi. The hotel’s top accommodation, the beachfront premier king suite, comes with a king-size bed, private ocean-view balcony, and a mini kitchen complete with a fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee machine.

Whether you choose the basic atrium courtyard room or the beachfront premier king suite, you’re just a short walk away from a stunning beach and the historic waterfront for which the island is known. Walking along the scenic road that runs parallel with the beach, you’ll get a taste of the island’s rich history (and plenty of photo opportunities) with the quaint colonial-style buildings that line the street. Here, you’ll also find several churches, eateries, and dive shops, as well as the Turks and Caicos National Museum.

And take note, divers—Grand Turk is also a world-renowned scuba diving destination. You can reach the wall, which starts at depths of 25-30 feet (8-9 meters) before dropping off into the abyss, within 5 minutes by boat. So whether you prefer shallow or deep diving, you have options. Here the marine life is healthy and thriving, with colorful corals and a variety of marine life to admire. With more than 25 dive sites to choose from, each offering the chance to see a range of tropical fish, sea turtles, reef sharks, eagle rays, and more, diving in Grand Turk is a must. Dive packages are offered with all three of the island’s diving companies, as well as special dive resort rates for groups of 10 or more.

While diving is a popular activity on Grand Turk, there are a variety of other activities to choose from. The island is a prime destination for fishing, kayaking, snorkeling, and even horseback riding on the beach. From January through April, North Atlantic humpback whales pass through the Columbus Passage off the coast of Grand Turk during their annual migration to warmer waters, making the island an ideal place for whale watching tours.

If you prefer land-based activities, you can also rent a car, scooter, or golf cart to explore the island, from historical Cockburn Town to the Grand Turk Lighthouse which dates back to the 1800s.

The menu often features fresh local fish, along with steaks, lamb, chicken, pasta, salads, and other local dishes, as well as lobster when it’s in season. Meanwhile, the dessert menu consists of cakes, pies, and ice cream, all of which are homemade — including a delectable key lime pie that can’t be duplicated.
