The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force (RTCIPF) was established in 1799, making it one of the oldest police forces in the world. The modern Metropolitan Police Service of London was established in 1829 (although it's precursor, the Marine Police Force, was organized in 1798). New York's NYPD was established in 1845.

Divisions

The force is divided into two regions:

  • Division A covers the islands of Grand Turk, Salt Cay, and South Caicos.
  • Division B covers Providenciales, North Caicos and Middle Caicos.

The other small inhabited islands, such as Parrot Cay and Pine Cay, do not have police stations.

Providenciales Police Stations

Providenciales Police (Grace Bay)
A branch of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is located in the Saltmills Plaza, Grace Bay, Providenciales.
Providenciales Police (Chalk Sound)
The Chalk Sound branch of the Providenciales division of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is located in the South Dock area.
Providenciales Police (Divisional Headquarters)
The Divisional Headquarters for the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force in the Downtown region of Providenciales. Police certificates are processed at this location.
Providenciales Police (Five Cays)
This branch of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force is located in the residential neighborhood of Five Cays, Providenciales.
Providenciales Police (Blue Hills)
This small Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force post is located in the Blue Hills and Wheeland region. This post is not staffed at all hours, and is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Monday-Friday.

This is the secondary North Caicos branch of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force, located in the small village of Bottle Creek.
Middle Caicos Police (Conch Bar)

South Caicos Police Station
