Hemingway’s on the Beach is a popular beachfront restaurant on Grace Bay located at The Sands resort, and features an atmosphere and setting that’s casual yet elegant.
The restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with a menu that’s a fusion of seafood, Caribbean, bar and grill fare, and international dishes. There’s a wide selection of salads as well, with both vegetarian and meat options.
This restaurant is typically quite busy at lunch due to their combination of great food, good prices, and a picturesque beachfront location. Popular lunch options include the soft fish tacos, conch fritters and conch fingers, and fish and chips.
Like most restaurants in the Turks and Caicos, Hemingway’s serves several seafood dishes that incorporate locally caught fish, lobster, and conch. Options include the island-wide favorite of conch fritters and conch chowder, as well as conch salad, cracked conch, and conch empanadas. There’s also fresh grilled snapper and grouper, and sometimes local lobster, when in season.

Hemingway’s maintains a wide wine list, as well as a good selection of mixed drinks, and local and imported beers.
Reservations are typically not required, yet may be a good idea during holidays and the Christmas season. The restaurant features both indoor and al fresco seating.
Grace Bay Beach
Hemingway’s Restaurant is located on an amazing stretch of Grace Bay Beach, and walk up guests are welcome! A public beach access can be found not far off from the restaurant, on the eastern side of The Sands resort, which is convenient for those wanting to combine an afternoon on the beach with lunch.
The restaurant’s location is also great for watching the sunset, as there’s less blocking the view to the west than what’s found at some of the other Grace Bay beachfront restaurants.
Nearby Resorts
Several Grace Bay resorts are near this restaurant, and within easy walking distance. Sibonné Beach Hotel and Point Grace are about 5 minutes away, and The Palms, The Somerset, Le Vele Resort, and the Mansions are about 10 minutes away. Keep in mind that the walk is on exquisite Grace Bay, so the walk will seem quicker than it actually is!
