The Conch Festival is an annual cultural and culinary event normally held in Blue Hills, Providenciales. As the name suggests, it's all about conch, our islands' most famous delicacy and a national symbol.
The Conch Festival is both a cultural and culinary affair, with a wide range of local vendors setting up booths and also local cultural acts performing. There's also competitions, such as 'conch knocking' (breaking the shell to get the animal out) and conch fritter eating competitions.
The date changes each year, but is normally held in November.
